Once in a Lifetime Opportunity
(Really. This will probably never be repeated.)
Dozens of WWII fighters and bombers will participate in the Arsenal of Democracy flyover of our nation’s Capital on Friday, Sept 25, celebrating the 75th anniversary of VE Day. Many of these vintage aircraft
will be based at a nearby field that will resemble a WWII airfield for the week starting on Sept 21.
Here’s what things looked like at one part of the field in 2015 at the last AoD Flyover.

Although security restrictions are tight with the ramp closed to the public our Boeing PT-17 Stearman WWII trainer will be able to fly a limited number of trips over this field from out of Fredericksburg’s Shannon Airport so you can see what a WWII military airfield would have looked like. Total time will be about an hour.
